Dr. Forati has been a dedicated health care provider for over 20 years, blending the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with the modern insights of Functional & Integrative Holistic Care to deliver complimentary holistic care. Dr. Forati's diverse and extensive training allows her to approach health care with a unique perspective, combining both Eastern and Integrative medicine to help her patients achieve optimal health.

Dr. Forati carefully determines whether a condition will benefit from the precise touch of TCM or the comprehensive approach of Functional Medicine, or both. In her Acupuncture practice, Dr. Forati may utilize Myofascial Trigger Point Acupuncture (also known as Dry Needling) for certain orthopedic issues. She has found it particularly effective in treating musculoskeletal issues such as neck, shoulder, and back muscle tension and pain—common ailments in our tech-driven world. She finds that athletes and patients who have good muscle strength benefit greatly from this technique.

As a Functional & Integrative Holistic Care practitioner, Dr. Forati’s many years in both in hospital and private practice settings have confirmed the importance of lifestyle in the prevention of dis-ease. She welcomes patients who wish to learn more about the topic to take a deep dive into their health with her, to see if lifestyle changes can prevent/delay the development of certain conditions. For those who are already diagnosed with a condition, the role of lifestyle changes is even more imperative. Chinese Medicine seeks the root cause of diseases, but in the 21st century there are new tools to use in addition to the traditional tongue and pulse methods to understand what is going on in the body. She believes in the power of food as medicine, and takes great joy in educating her patients on how to enhance their health foundations through dietary changes, movement and finding joy in everyday life.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Forati's expertise draws on years of experience in hospitals. Dr. Forati designed an acupuncture study at the Alameda County Medical Center Highland Hospital campus in Oakland, CA and has been a part of many research projects. Currently, she provides acupuncture care part-time in a local hospital's oncology department and in-patient care, offering pain relief and support to patients.

Dr. Forati is an Integrative Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner (IFMCP) from the Institute of Functional Medicine and is currently completing her work to become a Terrain Certified Network Practitioner through the Metabolic Approach to Cancer Course. She believes in always increasing her knowledge to improve patient care in every way and is a lifelong student. Learning gives her joy.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Forati is a naturally intuitive and musical person who values creative expression as a key to well-being. In her free time, she enjoys engaging in various creative endeavors from music to arts and being with her community.
